This tuesday we will be showing you all how to get the most from your photos with a quick photoshop tutorial.

To get the most from this tutorial you should bring your laptop loaded with a copy of photoshop (it doesn’t really matter which version), failing this a pen and paper to make notes will do.

You can download a free 30 day trial of photoshop CS3 from
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/index.html

note there are two versions, we will not be using any of the features from the extended version but you can still download it if you wish.

To download the free trial you must first register an adobe account, then log in with this account and follow the instructions to install photoshop.
The free trial will expire after 30 days but theres nothing stopping you uninstalling it then downloading it again… every 30 days…

The tutorial will cover several different aspects of photoshop from retouching photos to creating new composite photos, photoshoppers of all abilities will be catered for.

Hello all!
This Tuesday we will be taking a trip into Lancaster to look at a variety of different types of photography, and focusing on urban. We will also be continuing the manual digital photography tuition for those who would like help getting to grips with all the buttons and features of their cameras. You will need your camera, a small amount of money for transport and artistic minds. If you would like to borrow a society camera then they are available on request, and if you could contact the society before Tuesday evening.
Photographers of all levels are welcome, we will meet in Fylde SCR, up the stairs from the bar (Although at the moment the bar is demolished!) at 6, o clock.

Hopefully everyone has had a good break! During the summer term we realise that people will be busy with exams but photography will continue on and give you a good opportunity to get away from the stress!
Over the Easter break a competition was set to take a photo that represents weather. Anyone participating needs to put their photo on the forum website:

We will choose a winner this tuesday. Also, we will be organising our own exhibition to show off our best photography to other people in the society. Come along to find out more!

Hello Photographers!

Next tuesday’s session we want to be getting people a bit more confident with showing off their own photography. There will be a short discussion on how to put together your photos in a presentable fashion and also some information on how to use the new forum. (This can be found at http://www.phpbbplanet.com/lups/). It would be great if you could bring along your photos either on your camera with a lead or on your laptop which will give you a brilliant opportunity to see how the forum works and how to load your photos on there.

There will also be mention of a competition for over the easter holidays for everyone to get involved with.

After that (which shouldn’t take too long!) there will be a quick half hour competition with the theme of architecture! There is a tasty prize for the winner!
